BPL President & Board of Trustees Honors FOSEL

At their board meeting on Tuesday, September 29th, President David Leonard and the BPL Board of Trustees honored FOSEL for its support of the South End Branch of the Boston Public Library in ongoing programs and most specifically for its years maintaining the Library Park including installing its irrigation system. 

 With the impending demolition and new library building construction to start in the spring of 2027, the property will be fenced off and unavailable to the public.  Once the new building is readied for occupancy, Library Park will have a new irrigation system and the park will be turned over to the Boston Parks & Recreation Department for ongoing maintenance.
