SUPPORT FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION BILL H.3594
Sponsored by Representatives John Francis Moran and Adam J. Scanlon, H3594 is likely to come up for a House vote in 2-4 weeks. It has 50 cosponsors and the Senate passed overwhelmingly a version that would be reconciled after a favorable House vote.
The bill
• Requires any challenger to have standing in the community in order to challenge a book in any libraries in the State of MA
• Protects our librarians
• Assures that parents remain in control what their children are permitted to read
