A long-time chronicler of the South End whose columns have appeared regularly in the South End News will read from her work on December 9 at the South End Library. Author and South End resident Alison Barnet, whose great-grandfather played a role in raising funds for the Armory "Castle" across from the Park Plaza by means of his theatrical productions, will read from her --as yet-- unpublished manuscript. She promises to answer the questions, "Why Did The South End Feel Right To Me In 1964?" and "Where Did I Really Spend My First Night In Boston?" Find out the answer while enjoying the talk, the refreshments, your neighbors and friends, and the stories from yore and yonder.
Tuesday, December 7, 6:30 PM, at the South End Library, 685 Tremont Street, Phone 617 536-8241.
