Nationally acclaimed author Sue Miller calls her latest novel, The South Shore Limited, her 'love song to the South End.' In this recent work, readers will find many of the outstanding descriptions of place Miller has become known for, this time of the South End's distinctive haunts around Union Square, its restaurants and theaters, all flavored with the biting wind, snow and magic of Boston winters. The long-time South End resident, who is planning to move to another coast line in the near future, will read at the South End Library on Thursday, September 30, at 6:30 PM. Seating is limited. Refreshments will be offered. The reading is free and sponsored by The Friends of the South End Library. Donations to benefit library patrons will be gratefully accepted. Miller's books and DVDs of her movies will be available for borrowing.
